The USP-mkII is the result of our first and successful Kickstarter campaign.
It is an uncompromising programming adapter for all 8bit AVR microcontrollers from Microchip that have a
- SPI
- TPI
- PDI (with level shift)
interface.
The stick runs on all common operating systems. MAC and Linux directly, a driver is required for Windows.
It is 100% compatible with Microchipstudio/Atmelstudio (from v6.2) and avrdude (from v6.0), so it can be used directly in common software such as:
- Atmelstudio
- Microchip Studio
- Arduino
- LunaAVR
- avrdudess
The hardware is based on the LUFA stack, which runs on an Atmega32u2.
By connecting Reset and GND on the programming connector, the USB bootloader is started when plugged in. This makes it easy to update the firmware, for possible updates of the mkII software but also for your own software, such as:
- USB mouse
- USB keyboard
- Hardware dongle
- Data logger
- Web server
- ....
The 6-pin socket has the standard ISP assignment.
The stick is fully assembled and 100% tested.
The signed Windows driver can be downloaded here: Link to driver
